Generation Farms Riding Lessons Emily Pelletier at Generation Farms runs a successful riding lesson program in hunter/jumper, dressage and natural horsemanship. Fun, well-trained school horses are available for all levels. You can also bring your own horse or Emily can travel to you if you are in the greater Nanaimo area. Emily endeavours to teach more than the mechanics of riding but also feel, timing and a sense of relationship with the horse.
Emily also offers Mental Wellness programs to adults and youth. These HorseEmPower programs make use of horsemanship as a means of personal growth and empowerment.
Generation Farms boasts a sand riding ring, large outdoor round pen, covered round pen/horsemanship area, and a large barn with grooming stalls, tack room and lockers. The horses enjoy field turnout year-round and living outside with ample shelter. This contributes to their physical and mental health. The 2.5-acre front hay field is available for jumping and flat lessons during the summer months.
Private, semi-private and group lessons are available. Times and days vary depending on the season. Riders on school horses must do a minimum of one lesson per week. Setting regular lesson times is important to make scheduling easier. Stable management (horse care) lessons are encouraged for junior riders on school horses and available for other riders.
